Happy home community church

a little country church with a big heart.

Simple life, nothing fancy

Background

Rural folk need Jesus, too. That's why for well over the past one hundred years (established 1903, building built 1915) you'd find this little country church at the crossroads of Hattery-Owens and Wallbridge Roads in Williams Valley, Stevens County, surrounded by hayfields and livestock. Close to -- by just a few miles to the southwest -- Deer Park, a small town north of Spokane, in Eastern Washington. Happy Home provides a relaxed, comforting place to get to know your neighbor, sing some songs and hear what God has for us today from his Word.

That's a Funny Name!

One of the early members had moved to the area from back east, where he had been a member of a little country church called Happy Home. He liked the name, and suggested it be adopted as the name of his new church. And so it was! You can visit the website of a couple little country churches -- Happy Home Baptist Church and Happy Home Pentacostal Holiness -- in the Carolinas that may have been the inspiration for the name by following the links under Happy Links.

Impact

For such a small church, Happy Home has a giant heart for missions, with over a third of offerings going to help support the work of missionaries around the globe and close to home.
